Junior Art Director

Umbel is a high-energy, fast-growing startup based in Austin, Texas. We are looking for an entry-level Junior Art Director to deliver creative digital marketing engagements through our proprietary platform. The Junior Art Director will work with a broad range of engaging interactions that leverage social media, websites, mobile applications and other platforms. This role will be responsible for maintaining high customer satisfaction by collaborating on content, troubleshooting issues, gathering feedback on existing projects, designing, deploying and launching projects. The Junior Art Director will work with the Premium Engagement team on a wide range of client portfolios and report to the Director of Creative Services and Acquisition.

What You Must Do To Be Successful In This Position:

  • Pushing creative limits within platform bounds and engagement parameters
  • Special attention to detail, tweaking every aspect to create the most error free and impactful end user experience

What Skills & Experience We’d Like You To Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Communication Design, or related experience. 
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative suite
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their communities as well as how they can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Experience with Facebook Apps, Google Analytics, third-party sources
  • Proficiency in all MS Office and Google Apps 
  • Working knowledge of CSS, HTML, and Javascript
  • Ability to think analytically towards client data and marketing results
  • Ability to work in an autonomous, self-directed environment with a sense of urgency in solving client issues
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, team, and process-building environment
